Cooperation Agreement between OSMU and Federal Medical-Biological Agency

On April 5, 2021, Omsk State Medical University and the Regional Clinical Center of Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA) concluded an agreement on cooperation in medical, research, and educational activities, including initiation, development, and implementation of joint programs and projects on various activities. The main areas of cooperation are approval and implementation of educational programs using FMBA resources, development of a list of graduates’ competencies and competency indicators in accordance with the professional standards and qualifications. The agreement also includes the participation of FMBA employees in the quality assessment of graduates' learning outcomes, in updating and improving educational programs and their components, and in advisory support of student research projects.

Maria A. LIVZAN, Rector of OSMU, noted the advantages of this agreement, «We got the opportunity to expand the training of College, University, and Residency students, and the advanced professional training. Moreover, we can now use the most advanced technologies in our work, and solve the burning problems in the practical healthcare using joint intellectual, material, and technical resources».

«Inclusion of OSMU in the pilot project on staff training, scientific and grant activities in the Siberian Federal District means a high appreciation of the University work and personally the Rector. I would like to wish us the fruitful and successful implementation of projects for the benefit of students, Russian science, and practical healthcare! » – said Boris V. BARANKIN, Head of the Regional Clinical Center of FMBA.

Vladimir Yu. SHUTOV, a Director of FMBA West Siberian Clinical Center, mentioned that the bilateral agreement will allow systematizing academic scientific research in the fields of neurology, cardiology, pulmonology, urology, gastroenterology, and will probably take them to the next level.

The scientific conference will be the first planned activity in the framework of the agreement. It will take place on May 20-21, 2021, in Krasnoyarsk, where OSMU employees will present their generalized experience in fighting the new coronavirus infection.
