The Interregional Research and Practical Conference “National School on Infectious Diseases” was held on April 20, 2019 in Omsk.
Maria LIVZAN, OSMU Rector, and Olga BOGDANOVA, Deputy Minister of Public Health in Omsk Region, said the words of welcome. Infectious disease physicians, general practitioners, and cardiologists of Omsk Region participated in the conference. Leading experts from Moscow spoke about burning issues of diagnostics and treatment of infectious diseases. Prof. Vladimir PETROV told about adult flue antiviral treatment. Prof. Assoc. Elena MELEKHINA reported on measles morbidity and pediatric respiratory infections’ treatment.
Prof. Yury BELAN, Head of the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Omsk State Medical University, comments, “Such meetings provide an excellent opportunity to familiarize with up-to-date research of infectious diseases. Problems of diagnostics and treatment of acute respiratory viral infections, enteric infections and other diseases claim specialists’ close attention. Mutual discussion of these problems is of great importance. For this reason we can find new methods of diagnostics and treatment of infectious diseases.”
