Obstetricians and Gynecologists Discussed Cross-Disciplinary Issues

 
On April 14, Interregional Online Scientific Conference «Obstetrics and Gynecology Consilium» supported by the Ministry of Public Health of the Omsk Region, the Regional Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and OSMU was held.
 
The Conference gathered the leading specialists in obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, endocrinology, neonatology, pediatrics from Omsk, Chita, and Kemerovo. The doctors discussed cross-disciplinary cooperation in challenging clinical situations in obstetrics and gynecology.
 
In the opening remarks, Prof. Irina V. SAVELIEVA, MD, PhD, Head of the Department Obstetrics and Gynecology №1, Chief External Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Omsk Region, has expressed her hope for productive work and exchange of priceless experience.
 
More than ten reports on burning issues of diagnostics and treatment in obstetrics and gynecology were presented at the Conference. In the report on menstrual disorders, Prof. Irina V. SAVELIEVA covered the issues of proper prescribing of oral contraceptives, examination of the endometrium in patients with abnormal uterine bleeding, and iron deficiency in children and women of reproductive age.
 
Prof. Assoc. Inna V. DRUK, MD, PhD, Head of the Department of Internal and Family Medicine (Postgraduate Course), has presented her report on vitamin D deficiency in gynecological disorders.
 
Larisa V. KUKLINA, MD, PhD, Prof. Assoc. of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology №1, has touched upon the topic of an individual approach to choosing a contraceptive method for women of reproductive age.
 
Speakers have also presented their reports on the issues of breast cancer prevention, the effectiveness of immunotherapy for cervical dysplasia, the problem of pregnancy loss in the Omsk region, and premature births.
