1st International Emergency Care Contest "Keep Breathing In Life"
On November 26 and 27, the I International Student e-Olympiad on Emergency Medicine «Keep breathing in life» took place in OSMU. It attracted participants from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Donetsk and Lugansk Regions, and Belarus.
The Olympiad was divided into several stages, which required knowledge in emergency medicine, traumatology, and pathophysiology. Moreover, the teams had to solve critical cases recreated by OSMU students. During this stage, the participants provided pre-hospital emergency medical care, trying to perform it efficiently and quickly. The first situation was aimed at assessing vital signs in the car accident victims, examining the survivor, and providing him the necessary medical care. During the second situation, students explained to a person not related to medicine how to provide first aid for emergency childbirth.
We hope that the future doctors received valuable and useful experience during the International Olympiad and will take part in it again and again!
