OSMU and Astana Medical University, the Republic of Kazakhstan, OSMU long-term partner, launched an online programme of international academic mobility for the students and teaching staff to strengthen and expand further mutually beneficial cooperation during a COVID-19 pandemic.
A pioneer in such an innovative area is the Department of Preventive Dentistry under the supervision of Prof. Larissa M. LOMIASHVILI.
The teaching staff of the department has developed a course of lectures on the following topics:
1. Aesthetic Teeth Modeling. Methodology and Technology, Prof. Larissa M. LOMIASHVILI;
2. Modern Methods of Chewing Efficiency Diagnostics in a Human Dentoalveolar System. Reconstruction Algorithm for a Lateral Teeth Segment, Prof. Asst. Sergey G. MIKHAILOVSKII;
3. Clinical and Diagnostic Significance of Teeth Occlusal Surface in Reconstructive Therapy, Prof. Asst. Dmitry V. POGADAEV;
4. Algorithm of Dental Photography for Teeth Modeling, Eugeny V. KHOROLSKII, a 5thyear student of the Dentistry Faculty.
Colleagues from Astana, in their turn, will share their experience and best practices.
At present, the negotiation process for attracting other departments is ongoing, and they will join the work in a new format very soon.
