OSMU Opens New Horizons for Cooperation with Harbin Medical University, April 2025

The first day in Harbin began with an exploration of the medical university campus. The territory has everything you need: academic buildings, a dormitory, a 4-storey cafeteria, a sports complex.

On April 3, 2025, as part of an international medical internship, a delegation from Omsk State Medical University visited the Cardiac Surgery Department of one of the leading clinical hospitals affiliated with Harbin Medical University.
 
 
April 4th, 2025
A Day Off. Badminton. Visiting a Buddhist Temple in Harbin. Studying Buddhism as a Religion and the Features of Temple Layout Using the Harbin Temple as an Example. Visiting the "Communist Corridor."
 
 
April 5th, 2025
Saturday morning we went for a walk on the Harbin Embankment. The first stop was Zhaolin Park. It was built in 1900 and is considered the earliest park in Harbin, before it was called Daoli Park. Many people come here to worship the hero of the Japanese War, General Li Zhaolin, commander of the 3rd Division of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army, whose grave is in the northern part of the park.

April 7th, 2025
On April 7, 2025, as part of an international medical internship, the delegation of Omsk State Medical University continued their studies at clinical institutions in Harbin. The day began with a lecture and presentation part, where Professor Lee provided detailed information on the topic of atherosclerosis — its pathogenesis, modern views on risk factors, diagnostic approaches and treatment methods.

The neonatal department is located in the Fourth affiliated hospital of Harbin Medical University and is an important part of the healthcare system, providing high-quality medical care to newborns. The main goal of the department's work is to reduce morbidity and mortality among newborns.
 
 
April 9th, 2025
Our day started with a trip to the pediatric department. First, they made a presentation, telling us about the features of the pediatric department in their country, the structure and features of education. Next, we had a master class on the technique of baby massage, which has an antipyretic effect. After practicing with each other, we have memorized the tactics well and will be able to use it in our personal practice in the future.
 
 
April 10th, 2025
April 10, 2025, was one of the most dynamic and memorable days of our internship at Harbin Medical University. Our morning began at 8:30 AM with a truly unique experience — a training session in traditional Chinese martial arts, Wushu.
 
 
April 11th, 2025
The final day of the internship was dedicated to gynecology. At the hospital we were met by a professor and we went to familiarize ourselves with the department. In the department we were met by doctors and nurses, shown a small operating room where hysteroscopy was performed. We were told about the stages of preoperative preparation, then showed the hysteroscope, its parts, explained the order of the operation, indications and contraindications.
 
 
April 12th, 2025
We toured the cutting-edge pharmacology research laboratory spanning two floors at Harbin Medical University. The facility specializes in pharmacological correction of post-infarction pathological changes in myocardial tissue. Equipped with modern instrumentation and linear animals (mice, rats, guinea pigs) in its vivarium, the laboratory maintains continuous operation from 6 AM to 10 PM daily, including weekends.
