Whereas Omsk specialists in rehabilitation, neurology, traumatology, and sports medicine had a unique opportunity to learn the best practices of traditional Chinese medicine from their Xinjiang colleagues.

The delegation spent their first weekend in Omsk immersing themselves in the city's charm and history. The sightseeing program was rich and allowed guests to truly experience the spirit of Omsk from its founding to the present day. The tour began in the historic center, where guests admired the ancient buildings, discussing the architectural features of merchant mansions and 19th-century public buildings. A visit to places associated with the stay of the great Russian writer Fyodor Dostoevsky in Omsk added a special atmosphere. The highlight of the tour was a visit to «Lyubochka», Omsk's most famous and touching monument. The delegation members happily sat down next to «Lyubochka» to take memorable photos and touch the urban legend.

From October 20 to 24, 2025, the OSMU Department of Physical Culture hosted the delegation under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Anna Yu. SHREDER, Head of the Department. Chinese colleagues introduced students and teachers to the Qigong and Tai chi. The philosophy behind Qigong dates back over a thousand years before the Common Era and has evolved significantly over the ages. The term «Qigong» is composed of two Chinese characters: «Qi», often translated as «breath», «air», or «energy», and «Gong», meaning «work», «power», or «achievement». Together, they signify «energy work». Qigong is a key to longevity and a holistic philosophy of health and balance, accessible to individuals of all ages, including those with health conditions. The practice offers a path toward physical well-being, emotional equilibrium, and mental clarity.
