From November 17 to 21, a visiting delegation continued its official program at the Rehabilitation Department of the «Inzdrav» Medical Center. The guests were introduced to a wide range of cutting-edge rehabilitation technologies and equipment.
The program featured high-intensity laser therapy, neurophysical simulators with biofeedback, suspension systems based on the Neurac method, and dry hydrotherapy systems. Each technology was not only explained in detail but also demonstrated in clinical use: physicians at the Department allowed the delegation members to personally try the methods and evaluate their therapeutic potential.
This hands-on format gave the guests a full immersion into contemporary rehabilitation approaches, clearly showcasing how world-class equipment is applied in real clinical practice.
On November 21, the delegation met with students, residents, and teachers at the OSMU Main Building. The goal of the event was to introduce current and future healthcare professionals of Omsk to Chinese culture, medical education, and clinical practice, directly from first-hand sources.
The delegation presented four reports, highlighting key aspects of medical education in China, the role of traditional medicine in patient rehabilitation, the history and structure of Xinjiang Medical University, and central pillars of Chinese culture such as music, fine arts, and traditional intellectual games.
A distinguishing feature of the meeting was the direct dialogue between the speakers and the audience. During the Q&A session, the Chinese colleagues engaged with the students and responded to all questions, satisfying their curiosity and promoting mutual understanding.
Over the weekend, the Chinese guests visited an exhibition «Five symbols of the happiness» organized by the State Hermitage Museum, dedicated to the art of the Qing Dynasty. The exhibition showcased around 200 artifacts: traditional New Year paintings known as nianhua, decorative porcelain items, enamel, jade, wood and lacquerware objects, as well as silk garments and textiles.
Particular attention was drawn to the rich symbolism in Chinese art, which conveys wishes for happiness, prosperity, career success, wealth, longevity, and family harmony. Among the most memorable items for the guests was the ruyi scepter - an ornamental object symbolizing the fulfillment of one’s desires. Another highlight was the traditional Chinese wedding costume, adorned with motifs representing the joy of family life, the birth of children, and general well-being of a young couple.
