CATALOGES AND CARD INDEXES
The alphabetical catalog includes bibliographic descriptions of books, dissertations, abstracts of dissertations, and continuing publications that are stored in the library’s collections.
The systematic catalog reflects literature on the natural and socio-economic sciences based on the content in various branches of knowledge, dividing each branch into corresponding sections and subsections
The subject catalog contains information about literature on medicine and related sciences and is designed to search for information on a specific topic using MeSH (Medical Subject Heading)
The electronic catalog contains more than 575,000 records and includes bibliographic descriptions of books, dissertations, abstracts, and articles from medical journals.
An alphabetical card index of magazines and newspapers introduces information about periodicals stored in the OSMU library
Thematic card indexes are based on an analytical list of articles from periodicals and ongoing publications, collections and are maintained in departments serving readers.
The card file of new acquisitions reflects the literature received by the library and is updated quarterly.

Medicine - created by Russian Institute for Scientific and Technical Information of RAS, annotations in Russian are presented for dissertations, patents, articles from Russian and foreign journals and collections. Published quarterly.
Russian medicine (1988-1998) - contains information about scientific medical literature stored in the collections of the Central Scientific Medical Library (Moscow), including articles from journals and collections, Russian and foreign books, dissertations, abstracts of dissertations , deposited manuscripts, unpublished translations.
WHO Medicines Bookshelf is a full-text database of World Health Organization publications on the use of essential medicines.

The Manual has been published by MSD since 1899 and is widely known throughout the world as the MSD Manuals.
