At the beginning of July 2026, a series of graduation events was held at OSMU. This year, 16 students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, 44 students of the Faculty for Preventive Medicine, 107 students of the Faculty of Dentistry, 133 students of the Faculty of Pediatrics, and 283 students of the Faculty of General Medicine graduated from the University.
On July 2, a solemn meeting of the Council of the Pharmacy Faculty was held, dedicated to the graduation of pharmacists in the specialty Pharmacy in 2026. Assoc. Prof. Olga V. KORPACHEVA, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Vice-Rector for Research, Assoc. Prof. Alexander V. MATVEEV, PhD (in Physical and Mathematical Sciences), Acting Dean of the Pharmacy Faculty, and teachers of the Faculty congratulated the graduates, their families and friends on the important event of the transition from student life to professional activity, filled with new opportunities and achievements.
The series of graduation events continued with the awarding of diplomas to graduates of the Faculty for Preventive Medicine, the Faculty of Dentistry, and the Faculty of General Medicine. The graduates were congratulated by Prof. MARIA A. LIVZAN, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Rector of OSMU, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Prof. ELENA B. PAVLINOVA, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Ivan A. ONUFRIEV, Vice-Rector for Infrastructure Development and Youth Policy. The parting words were delivered by the Deans of the Faculties: Professor Oleg I. LEBEDEV, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Dean of the Faculty of General Medicine, Professor Larisa M. LOMIASHVILI, DMD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Dean of the Dentistry Faculty, and Prof. Oksana A. PASECHNIK, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Dean of the Faculty for Preventive Medicine. The graduation ceremonies were also marked by the visits of Oleg N. SMOLIN, the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Education and Science of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Education, and Dmitry A. MARKELOV, Minister of Health of the Omsk Region.
On July 6, a series of graduation ceremonies concluded with the presentation of diplomas to graduates of the Faculty of Pediatrics. Dmitry A. MARKELOV, Prof. MARIA A. LIVZAN, Prof. ELENA B. PAVLINOVA, Assoc. Prof. Andrey S. KOLCHIN, MD, PhD (in Medicine), Vice-Rector for Postgraduate Education and Digital Transformation, Ivan A. ONUFRIEV, Elena O. SHCHUKINA, PhD (in Medicine), Chairperson of the State Attestation Commission, Assoc. Prof. Natalia A. POLYANSKAYA, MD, PhD (in Medicine), Dean of the Pediatrics Faculty, and Elina N. ASTAFIEVA, Head of the Department of Youth Policy and Social Development, took part in the graduation ceremony. They congratulated the graduates and wished them to never rest on their laurels and to proudly carry the honorary title of "pediatrician" into practical healthcare. Special words of gratitude were extended also to the teachers of the Faculty, who imparted their skills and knowledge to students throughout their six years of professional training, and to the students’ parents.
