In the framework of the Career Guidance Campaign «No Turnstiles Week», a series of events was held in the Omsk State Medical University.
From 11 to 15 October, schoolchildren and their parents met with Deans and Deputy Deans of the OSMU faculties, who told about the features of each faculty, the student life, including both scientific and extracurricular activities, and answered all the questions from the future applicants. Besides this, schoolchildren had an excursion in OMSU Skills Center and could attend a master class on newborn resuscitation.
Prof. Maria A. LIVZAN, Rector of OSMU, mentioned the high positions of OSMU in Russian and international rankings. «I think that any doors will be open to OSMU graduates. The main thing for you now is to found out the motivation for the admission, and it will become the key to success in your future education».
Prof Assoc. Elena B. PAVLINOVA, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Head of the Department of Hospital Pediatrics, said that admission to the high-ranked University gives you many opportunities, that is why it is important to reflect on your aspirations in the professional field. But as it is always said, medical education ensures that you will never be out of a job.
Prof Assoc. Vladimir V. RUSAKOV, Head of the Pre-University Training and Career Center, also answered the questions of future applicants related to admission to our University.
