An Interregional Scientific Conference “Current Issues of Ophthalmology” was held

 
On September 8, an Interregional Scientific Conference “Current Issues of Ophthalmology” was held, dedicated to the key issues of modern ophthalmology such as ophthalmic surgery, pediatric ophthalmology, and improving methods of diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the organ of vision. The Conference was attended by specialists in ophthalmology from Omsk, Novosibirsk, and Moscow.
 
OSMU was represented at the Conference with several reports of the associate professors of the Ophthalmology Department:  made a report entitled “Neurotrophic keratitis as a complication of herpes virus infection” by Prof. Assoc. Alexander V. SUROV, MD, PhD,  “Retinopathy of pregnancy and preeclampsia: modern approaches” by Prof. Assoc. Tatiana IU. MATNENKO, MD, PhD and “Static perimetry in the early diagnosis of glaucoma using clinical examples” by Prof. Assoc. Ekaterina A. STEPANOVA, MD, PhD .
 
The participation of ophthalmologists in this event was a good opportunity to improve their level of knowledge and get acquainted with current issues in ophthalmology. The lively responses and discussions of the conference participants indicate that ophthalmology is rapidly developing, new methods are being introduced in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the organ of vision, and new horizons are opening up in the development of ophthalmological science and practice.
