From March 15th to 19th, Medical Volunteers of Omsk Region held a Career Guidance Campaign in the field of medicine called «Tvoi Vybor» (meaning «Your Choice»). In the framework of the Campaign, Medical Volunteers have visited several Omsk Schools telling schoolchildren about medicine and admission requirements in Medical Universities. Schoolchildren were proposed to discuss the future trends in medicine and ethic and professional qualities of medical specialists.
Moreover, Medical Volunteers together with Regional Center for Public Health and Preventive Medicine held a quiz «AlkoNet» dedicated to the prevention of alcohol abuse.
Supported by the Center for Pre-University Training and Career Guidance, Omsk schoolchildren visited the Anatomical Museum and OSMU Main Building, and learned CPR Basics and Emergency Care Algorithms in the Skills Center. They also had the opportunity to practice these skills using simulators and special manikins.
Similar Career Oriented Activities were organized by Medical Volunteers in Tarsky and Poltavsky Regions in the framework of the Campaign “Tvoi Vybor”.
