On January 28-29, Istanbul hosted the XIX International Scientific Conference «Challenges and Opportunities in Modern Science (Digital Technologies, Human-Centered Studies)». The Conference provided speakers with an opportunity to present their research both in person and online.
OSMU was represented at the international research competition held within the Conference by Anna SEDELNIKOVA, a 3rd-year student of the Faculty of General Medicine, with her research entitled «Psychological Characteristics of University Students Engaged in Martial Arts».
Under the guidance of Prof. Vadim V. SALUGIN, PhD (in Pedagogy), Head of the OSMU Department of Physical Culture, Anna achieved a confident victory in the competition. In her presentation, she addressed relevant issues for university students, particularly for those interested in understanding how sports can support academic performance and what advantages martial artists possess when facing high cognitive and emotional demands in the educational environment.
