Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the administration of University and my own behalf, I would like to congratulate you on Omsk State Medical University centenary!
The glorious history of Alma Mater began in 1920, when a Medical Faculty was founded at the Siberian Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Zoology, later reorganized into the West Siberian State Medical Institute, then into Omsk State Medical Institute and Academy.
And today we are proud to hold the title of a Medical University! Over the hundred-year history, the scientific schools known deep outside Russia were formed and a lot of high-level specialists in the field of medicine graduated from our University.
The teaching staff is a special pride of the OSMU. All the employees of the University are loyal to the principles of humanism and they are professionals in their field.
We can be proud of our University, which occupies a worthy place among the Russian Medical Universities!
We are celebrating the centenary in the unusual year when the medical community joins forces to fight against the new coronavirus infection, and our teaching staff and students also take part in it by modifying the work upside-down, organizing advanced training courses for colleagues from Omsk and Omsk Region, and launching the volunteering movement.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of you for your professionalism, responsiveness, and your work, which required additional mental strength at this difficult time.
I wish you to save your health, be successful, and reach new achievements for the benefits of our University, for national healthcare system, and for the Russian medical science!
