On December 13–14, 2024, the V International Olympiad for Medical Students «Samarkand-2020» was held at Samarkand State Medical University.
The competition spanned 30 disciplines, conducted both in-person and online in Uzbek, Russian, and English. OSMU was represented by Alina D. POPOVA, a 5th-year student of the Pediatric Faculty.
The Olympiad consisted of several stages. The first stage included solving test assignments and a quick-response quiz covering various areas of pediatrics, which Alina successfully completed. During the second stage, participants demonstrated theoretical knowledge and practical skills. They were required to answer questions on pediatrics, solve clinical cases, describe a practical skill, and provide its clinical characteristics.
Based on the total score for all contests, Alina D. POPOVA was awarded a Second Degree Diploma.
