A third-year student of the General Medicine Faculty of OSMU, Tatyana YAKUBENKO, became a winner of the competition of scientific research works and student projects “Countries of the World Partnership for Sustainable Development” within the framework of the II International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists For the Sustainable Development of Civilization Cooperation, Science, Education, and Technology. Africa’s Path to the 17 SDGs An Integrated Approach. The Conference was held at RUDN University and brought together more than 1,500 participants from 60 countries.
Tatyana YAKUBENKO presented research (supervisor Assoc. Prof. Sergey I. MOZGOVOY, MD, PhD, Prof. of the Morbid Anatomy Department) on the topic “Organization of cervical cancer screening in African countries as an area of cooperation within the framework of the SDGs.”
The purpose of the Conference was to discuss the priority issues of our time, problems and challenges, possible trends and directions for the development of Africa by the expert and youth scientific community, as well as raise awareness about the global goals of sustainable human development. RUDN University acted as a working platform for the exchange of experience among young scientists, company leaders, government officials and experts in the fields of sustainable development, environmental, social and corporate governance. Specialists shared their knowledge and experience to implement scientific, academic and socially significant projects; in 2023, African countries became the regional focus of the Conference.
