On October 21-23, 2022, the First National Olympiad on Gastroenterology took place in the framework of the 122nd Session of the National Gastroenterology and Hepatology School. The event attracted specialists from the European and Southern parts of Russia, the Urals, Siberia, and the Far East.
The Olympiad Committee was made up of the country's leading gastroenterologists: Prof. V.T. IVASHKIN, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow), Prof. E.K. BARANSKAYA (Moscow), Prof. M.A. LIVZAN, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Omsk), Prof. M.F. OSIPENKO (Novosibirsk), Prof. V.I. SIMANENKOV (St. Petersburg), Prof. O.Yu. ZOLNIKOVA (Moscow), Prof. A.V. TKACHEV (Rostov-on-Don), Prof. N.V. KOROCHANSKAYA (Krasnodar).
The Olympiad included several stages: blitz-test, clinical case solving, physical examination competition, and super-blitz. Prof. Assoc. O.V. GAUS, MD, PhD, OSMU Department of Internal Medicine (Intermediate Level) and Gastroenterology, has successfully completed the tasks and become the winner of the Competition! She was awarded the Gold Medal, Winner's Cup, money prize, and «Best Young Gastroenterologist of Russia 2022» Diploma with the access to unlimited free training at the National Gastroenterology and Hepatology School.
