On February 5-7, 2024, the final of the National Competition in the field of Respiratory Protective Equipment «Smart RPE» took place in Saint Petersburg.
This competition of scientific works of students, PhD students, young scientists and specialists in the field of personal RPE is organized by the Association of Manufacturers of Personal Protective Equipment and the Russian Chemists Union and is aimed at stimulating the creative activity of young people, implementing innovative ideas and developments into production, and instilling a culture of using RPE.
The competition was held in two stages. The qualifying stage took place in November, 2023. The project of Elena A. LOGINIVA, 6th-year student of the General Medicine Faculty (Scientific Advisor – Natalia V. SEMENOVA, MD, PhD, Assoc. Prof. of the Extreme and Evidence Based Medicine Department) made it to the final stage. The project is dedicated to the creation of a device for preserving the health of industrial personnel when using RPE and during the professional activities of workers in hazardous industries. According to the results of the final stage, Elena Loginova was awarded the 1st place Diploma.
