On April 23 in Moscow at the CROCUS-EXPO IEC, within the framework of the anniversary Moscow International Dental Forum and Exhibition “DENTAL-SALON 2024” and the 50th Russian Scientific Conference of the StAR “Current Problems of Dentistry”,“The First International Student Science Competition of Medical Universities of Russia and the CIS Countries in Memory of V.N. Kopeikin” was held.
The large-scale event was conceived and subsequently organized thanks to the efforts of Prof. Andrey A. STAFEEV, DMD, PhD, Head of the OSMU Department Of Prosthodontics, and Prof. Igor Yu. LEBEDENKO, MD, DMD, Head of the RUDN Department of Orthopedic Dentistry, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, with the goal of analyzing the level of student scientific research in orthopedic dentistry at medical universities in Russia and neighboring countries with further popularization and development of student science.
All reports were of the highest level and were evaluated according to six parameters by members of the jury, consisting of heads of departments of medical universities in the participating cities; the chairperson of the jury was Prof. Alexander N. RYAKHOVSKY, Head of the StAR section on orthopedic dentistry.
By a unanimous decision of the jury, the title of absolute winner of the competition was awarded to Sofia LAPENKO, a 5th year student of the OSMU Faculty of Dentistry, who made a report on the topic: “Digital planning of selective teeth grinding.”
