On April 29, 2022, the XVIII International Professional Skills e-Competition for Dental Students was held on the basis of the Dentistry and Orthodontics Department of the Medical Academy named after S.I. Georgievsky (a structural subdivision of Crimean Federal University named after V.I. Vernadsky). It attracted students from Russia, Belarus, and Uzbekistan. The purpose of the Competition was to develop students' interest in their future professional activities, deepen their knowledge, and develop their creativity.
The Preventive Dentistry Department of OSMU was presented by 3-rd year students of the Dentistry Faculty. Under the leadership of Prof. Larissa M. LOMIASHVILI, MD, PhD, Sergey G. MIKHAILOVSKY, MD, PhD, and Laura A. SIMONYAN, MD, our students presented the following works: «Aspects of ergonomics in dental practice» by D.A. SOKOLOVA, «Dental microscope ergonomics» by E.G. ADABIR, and «Treatment of moderate dentin caries and restoration of the class I cavity according to Black’s classification» by A. M. KORFIDOVA.
The participants were awarded the «Audience Choice Award» Diploma, 1st place and 3rd place Diplomas.
Even though it was a Competition, there was a friendly atmosphere, support and respect of all participants for each other. Students are grateful for the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and demonstrate the acquired skills!
