Congratulations on the Successful Presentation at the Conference!

 
On April 21-23, an annual 28th National (61st «All-Union») Scientific Conference for students «Burning Issues in Pediatric Surgery, Anesthesiology and Intensive Care» dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Professor Girey A. BAIROV, Corresponding Member of the RAS-AMS of the USSR, took place in Saint Petersburg.  
 
The Conference included 98 reports and 69 poster presentations by Russian and foreign students from 37 medical universities. All the works were judged by the Heads of Pediatric Surgery Departments of Russian medical universities. 
 
OSMU was represented by three members of the Students’ Scientific Society of Pediatric Surgery and Reproductive Health for Children and Adolescents Department:
 
Alina GARMANOVA (2nd-year student of the Faculty of Pediatrics) presented her work «The impact of potassium permanganate on the esophageal mucosa in children» in the framework of Thoracic Surgery Session. She was awarded the 1st place diploma.
 
Evelina SHESLER (5th-year student of the Faculty of Pediatrics) was awarded the 1st place diploma for her work «External genitals injuries in girls», presented at the Particular Issues of Pediatric Surgery Session.
 
Alina KOSTUCHENKO (5th-year student of the Faculty of Pediatrics) was awarded the 3rd place diploma for her experimental clinical study «Scrotoscopy in children».
 
The OSMU delegation was headed by Professor Andrey V. PISKLAKOV, Head of the Pediatric Surgery and Reproductive Health for Children and Adolescents Department.
 
In the overall standings, OSMU Students’ Scientific Society of Pediatric Surgery and Reproductive Health for Children and Adolescents Department got the 1st place diploma, which once again confirmed the high level of the Omsk school of pediatric surgery. We thank the scientific supervisors Vyacheslav I. PONOMAREV, Natalia I. PAVLENKO, Artem V. GRIGORENKO, and Andrey V. PISKLAKOV for the high level of training of the participants.
