On June 7, 2023, on the threshold of Russia Day, a solemn federal and regional award-giving ceremony was held in the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region. Vitaly P. KHOTSENKO, acting governor of the Omsk Region, presented awards to Omsk industrialists, university professors, workers of culture, art and sports, mechanical engineering workers, firefighters, journalists, and public officials. One of the honorees was Oleg I. LEBEDEV, MD, PhD, Dean of the General Medicine Faculty of OSMU, Head of the Ophthalmology Department, Member of the Ophthalmology Commission of the Healthcare Expert Council of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Member of the Board of the National Society of Ophthalmologists, who was awarded honorary title "Honored Worker of the Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation".
