Today, Rector of OSMU, Prof. Maria A. LIVZAN took part in a solemn opening of the Monument to the Doctors and Nurses who participated in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945).
The ceremonial event started at 10 o'clock, and it was attended by Sergei MENYAILO, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Siberian Federal District, within the framework of his working visit to Omsk, and Alexander BURKOV, Governor of Omsk Region.
The Monument embodies the feat of doctors and nurses who participated in the Great Patriotic War.
The Public Organization "Healthcare Veterans of Omsk Region" has acted as initiator of the monument’s appearance in Omsk
