The 59th Moscow International Dental Forum and Exhibition "Dental Salon 2026", one of the key events in the professional community, brought together leading specialists in dentistry. Representatives from all regions of Russia and abroad participated in the forum's scientific program and exhibition, highlighting the event's high international status and its importance for the development of modern dentistry.
Leading scientists, professors, and academicians attended the forum, including Rinat A. SALEEV, President of the Russian Dental Association (STAR); Academician Oleg O. YANUSHEVICH; Alexander V. MITRONIN, Head of the Department of Preventive Dentistry and Endodontics and Deputy Director of the A.I. Evdokimov National Research Institute of Dentistry; and other authoritative representatives of the professional community. The conference's numerous sections and thematic areas brought together representatives of a wide range of dental specialties and prompted active discussions, questions, and expert debates, highlighting the relevance of the topics presented and identifying prospects for their further development. A number of significant professional events were held during the forum, including a Joint Meeting of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation's Specialized Commission on Dentistry and a meeting of deans of universities’ dental faculties. Deputy Minister of Health, Tatyana V. SEMENOVA, delivered a report, presenting up-to-date information on legislative changes and outlining prospects for the development of dental services.
At the forum, Irina M. VOLOSHINA, DMD, Professor of the OSMU Department of Preventive Dentistry, presented a report entitled "Patient compliance in dentistry: current concepts, factors, and clinical significance." Her presentation generated vivid interest among the audience, as issues of doctor-patient interaction are becoming increasingly important in clinical practice today.
