On February 28th, educational school for doctors of therapeutic and related specialties "Comorbidity in the Clinic of Internal Medicine. Experience of Regional Schools: Omsk-Tomsk-Kemerovo" took place at OSMU. The organizers of the school were the national public organization “Scientific Society of Gastroenterologists of Russia” and autonomous non-profit organization of additional professional education “Institute of Continuing Medical Education”, co-organizers were OSMU, Siberian State Medical University and Kemerovo State Medical University.
The scientific program was designed for one day and included two academic lectures "The Gut-Liver-Gut Axis - Human Health and Diseases" by Leonid B. LAZEBNIK, MD, PhD, Professor of the Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry Department of Therapy and Preventive Medicine, Vice-President of the Russian Scientific Medical Society of Therapists, President of Russia Scientific Society of Gastroenterologists, and "Drug-Induced Lesions of the Digestive Tract Mucous Membranes" by Prof. Maria A. LIVZAN, MD, PhD, Corresponding Member of the RAS, Rector of the OSMU, Head of the Internal Medicine (Intermediate Level) and Gastroenterology Department, chief external specialist-therapist of the Siberian Federal District, as well as seventeen reports by famous therapeutic scientists of the Russian Federation.
Online format of the school allowed several hundred doctors from all regions of the Russian Federation to discuss the most important issues of modern internal medicine, many interdisciplinary problems, get along with the latest scientific achievements and get answers to the most pressing questions of clinical practice.
Active discussions took place in all the sections: "Digestive System Diseases in the Focus of the Clinician’s Attention", where our university was represented by Elena A. LYALYUKOVA, MD, PhD, Prof. of Department of Internal and Family Medicine, including Postgraduate Training Courses, Olga V. GAUS, MD, PhD, Assoc. Prof. of the Internal Medicine (Intermediate Level) and Gastroenterology Department, and Galia R. BIKBAVOVA, MD, PhD, Assoc. Prof. of the Internal Medicine (Intermediate Level) and Gastroenterology Department; "Diseases of the Liver and Biliary Tract. What Should a Physician Know?", where our university was represented by Prof. Vadim A. AKHMEDOV, MD, PhD, Head of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation (Postgraduate Course), and Tatiana S. KROLEVETS, MD, PhD, Assoc. Prof. of the Internal Medicine (Intermediate Level) and Gastroenterology Department; "Modern Practice of Managing Cardiac Patients. Experience of the Regions" and "Rational Therapy of Respiratory Diseases and Comorbid Conditions" - here scientists from Moscow, Tomsk and Kemerovo presented results of their research. Participants of the event thanked organizers for making such an important educational event, noting its high scientific novelty and practical significance.
