On November 21-22, 2024, the II National Scientific Congress with international participation «Erisman Readings-24. New Trends in Nutrition and Food Hygiene to Ensure Sanitary and Epidemiological Well-Being of the Population» took place in Moscow.
At the opening of the Congress, Prof. A. Yu. POPOVA, Head of the Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare, Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation, delivered a welcoming speech.
The speakers of the Congress touched upon such topics as achievements of food hygiene, including food safety as a key factor in ensuring the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population, hygienic standardization and control of food safety, nutrition of individual groups of the population and organized groups taking into account national and regional aspects, the results of the implementation of the national project "Demography", and new requirements and innovative technologies for the production of specialized food products.
In total, more than 450 people took part in the event: employees of Rospotrebnadzor institutions, representatives of higher education institutions and scientific medical institutions from 65 regions of the Russian Federation, as well as scientists from Greece, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Moldova. The work of the Congress included 85 reports, 36 poster presentations, and 2 round tables, resulting in the adoption of the Resolution of the Congress.
Within the framework of the Congress, the unscheduled forum of the national public organization «Society of Hygienists, Toxicologists and Sanitary Doctors» was held. Prof. Denis V. TURCHANINOV, MD, PhD, Head of the OSMU Department of Hygiene and Nutrition, presented Omsk branch of the Society of Hygienists, Toxicologists and Sanitary Doctors.
On November 22, Denis V. TURCHANINOV presented his report «Hygienic assessment of the effectiveness of the implementation of the federal project "Strengthening public health" in terms of forming healthy nutrition for the population of the Omsk Region in 2018-2024». He told about the results of the joint six-year work of OSMU with the Office of Rospotrebnadzor in Omsk Region and the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology in Omsk Region to implement measures of the National Project «Demography». The results of this work were highly recognized by the participants of the Congress.
