On December 5, OSMU hosted a Forum of Physicians of the Siberian Federal District dedicated to the memory of Prof. Anatoly I. MARTYNOV, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The event was organized by the Russian Scientific Medical Society of Internists, OSMU, the Ministry of Health of the Omsk Region, National Medical Research Center for Therapy and Preventive Medicine with the support of the European Federation of Internal Medicine, the International Society of Internal Medicine and the Society of Physicians of Russia.
The Russian Scientific Medical Society of Internists made every effort to make the Conference program interesting and, most importantly, useful for all professionals in the field of internal medicine, so the topics of the reports covered the widest range of issues that doctors face in their clinical practice, with an emphasis on solving urgent problems of diagnosis, prevention and treatment of internal diseases.
Prof. Oksana M. DRAPKINA, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), President of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, addressed the participants of the Conference with a welcoming speech. She noted the relevance of the issues discussed, which led to the saturation of the conference program - 34 reports on the topics of the scientific forum were heard in two halls that day.
Further, the forum held symposiums, the topics of which were devoted to complex issues in the practice of internists and general practitioners, topical issues of diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the cardiovascular system, metabolic health from the point of view of a preventologist and clinician, rational pharmacotherapy of respiratory infections - from etiotropic to symptomatic methods, topical issues of diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the digestive system, as well as the first steps in science for young researchers. Thus, the meetings covered the most significant problems of urgent diseases of the Russian population, and more than a third of the reports on these topics were delivered by the OSMU staff.
