From 28 July to 2 August the Inter-Regional Youth Forum «RITM» («RHYTHM») was held in the Omsk Region, welcoming more than 300 participants from across Siberia alongside experts and honoured guests. Over five days the delegates discussed the most pressing issues of regional development and showcased their own youth-driven initiatives. The aim of «RITM 2025» is to unite young professionals from different fields, encouraging the exchange of experience and the development of new skills.
OSMU was represented by a student delegation comprising members of the Student Council, the Sports Committee, the Medical Volunteers movement and other student associations. Within the forum programme the participants met Vice-Rectors responsible for youth policy at Omsk Universities, including Ivan A. ONUFRIEV, OSMU Vice-Rector for Infrastructure Development and Youth Policy.
On the final day the forum was visited by Vitaliy P. KHOTSENKO, Governor of the Omsk Region, and Nikolay V. NOVICHKOV, State Duma Deputy, Chair of the Organising Committee of the national contest «Cultural Capital of the Year». Addressing the participants, the Governor emphasised that «RITM» unites bright and promising young people, helping them to unlock their potential, and expressed confidence that the knowledge gained at the forum would be invaluable while «RITM» itself would serve as a springboard to future achievements.
The Forum programme also included the Rosmolodezh.Grants competition. Anna SEDELNIKOVA, an OSMU student, won the grant contest with her project «Sport International: Student Integration». The project comprises eight events and an introductory meeting with 350 foreign students from Pakistan and India. Its objectives are to increase student participation in sports clubs, draw international students into university sport, facilitate their adaptation to academic and extracurricular life and cultivate friendly relations. The eight main events will feature master classes in traditional sports of India and Russia, giving students the chance to experience new cultures through sport. The project is expected to foster experience exchange and greater student engagement in extracurricular activities.
Congratulations to the winner and to all forum participants! We wish them every success in their future endeavours!
