On December 18 young scientists were awarded the Government prize for exceptional inventions in the sphere of medicine, jurisprudence, mathematics, chemistry and biotechnology.
The opening speech was made by Professor A. Novikov, President of OSMU. Deputy Chairman of Omsk Region Government M. Karakoz granted prizes to five young scientists. The assistant of the OSMU Department of Maxillofacial Surgery A. Korshunov was among them. He has developed and patented a new technic of research of tooth enamel quality. This technic will make it possible to break new ground in diagnostics and prevention of dental diseases.
Together with money reward young scientists got the laureate certificate and the memorial statuette.
