A bit of history: in July 2015, OSMU became a member of the Association of Sino-Russian Medical Universities (ASRMU), whose main task is to organize international cooperation in the field of educational, methodological, research and medical activities.
On the Russian side, the document was signed by Prof. Peter V. GLYBOCHKO, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Rector of Sechenov University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Co–chairperson of ASRMU, on the Chinese side - Prof. Yang BAOFENG, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Professor of Harbin Medical University, Co-Chairperson of ASRMU. This was the beginning of large-scale cooperation between Russian and Chinese universities.
Over the course of 11 years, many different joint scientific and educational events were held, the participants of which were scientific and pedagogical staff and students of OSMU, as well as colleagues from universities in China.
The beginning of 2026 was no exception, HMU once again invited a group of students and research and teaching staff of OSMU for a short-term internship; the 8 days of the program turned out to be so eventful that weekends were also used to maximize new knowledge and enjoy communication with colleagues who generously shared with we share our experience.
The colleagues of the international department of HMU accomplished the impossible by maximizing the inclusion in the program of almost all the areas that were indicated in our application: departments of cardiology and cardiac surgery, traumatology and orthopedics, radiology and plastic surgery, as well as the Cancer Center.
Collaboration and exchange of experience will continue, there are enough plans for the future!
