«Help First!» - Medical Volunteers Teach the First Aid

The «Help First!» Campaign dedicated to World First Aid Day started in the Omsk Region. It is aimed at raising awareness of First Aid among the population. Medical Volunteers have already visited Omsk State Agrarian University and Gymnasium №62. They taught listeners the basics of bandaging, Heimlich maneuver, and CPR, and then everyone was able to practice the acquired skills on mannequins. In addition to the lifesaving technique training, psychologists of the Central Office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Omsk Region told the participant how to cope with panic attacks in emergencies. Medical Volunteers work together with the psychologists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and they are now planning more joint events.

«It is an annual campaign, which traditionally attracts the interest of the participants. We are glad to share the necessary knowledge with everyone, and there are still many plans ahead!» - mentioned Daria PINKER, student of the General Medicine Faculty, Head of the «First Aid Training and Events Assistance» Volunteer Team.

Moreover, in the framework of the «Help First!» Campaign Medical Volunteers will soon visit other educational institutions and public places.
