International Competition «MEGA Master»

 
On May 5-7, the International Competition «MEGA Master» took place at Tashkent State Dental Institute and Samarkand State Medical University. 
 
3rd-year students and 4th-year students of the Dentistry Faculties from Moscow, Khabarovsk, Simferopol, Perm, Voronezh, Volgograd, Omsk, Aktobe, Almaty, Andijan, Samarkand, Tashkent, Bukhara, Dushanbe, Chimkent gathered to compete in the contest.
 
OSMU was represented by Prof. Larissa M. LOMIASHVILI, MD, PhD, Dean of the Dentistry Faculty, Head of the Department of Preventive Dentistry, Sergey G. MIKHAILOVSKY, MD, PhD, Prof. Assoc. of the Department of Preventive Dentistry, and V. KAMINSKAYA, 4th-year student of the Dentistry Faculty.
 
Welcome speeches were delivered by Prof. Zhasur A. RIZAEV, MD, PhD, Rector of Samarkand State Medical University, Saifiddin R. BAIMAKOV, MD, PhD, Vice-Rector of Tashkent State Dental Institute, Prof. Olga E. BEKZHANOVA, MD, PhD, Head of the Department of Preventive Dentistry (Tashkent State Dental Institute), and Prof. Larissa M. LOMIASHVILI. 
 
To maintain and strengthen the inter-university partnership between Tashkent State Medical University and Omsk State Medical University, both parties signed an agreement on further cooperation. As part of the International Competition at Samarkand State Medical University, Prof. Larissa M. LOMIASHVILI and Sergey G. MIKHAILOVSKY presented their reports. 
 
The International Contest «MEGA Master» is a periodic high-level event that brings together Dental students from many countries and cities. The Сompetition aims at identifying the level of theoretical and practical training of students, revealing their creative potential, and instilling a love for the future profession.
 
According to the results of the Competition, V. KAMINSKAYA was awarded the 1st-place Diploma.
 
Thanks to the warm atmosphere of the event, the support of the supervisors, and famous eastern hospitality, all participants successfully solved given theoretical tasks and clinical cases.
