The International Scientific Conference entitled “Heroism of Healthcare Specialists during World War II” was held online due to the initiative of the Kazakh-Russian Medical University, Almaty (Kazakhstan). It was devoted to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in WWII.
A lot of medical universities from Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kirgizstan and Israel participated in the conference, including the Omsk State Medical University.
Prof. Nurlan T. DZHAINAKBAEV, Rector of the Kazakh-Russian Medical University, and Irina V. PEREVERZEVA, Consul of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Almaty, (Kazakhstan), cordially greeted the participants of the Conference.

OSMU was represented by young scientists and lecturers of the Department of Philosophy and Humanities: Alyona L. BRITSKAYA with a report entitled The Unwomanly Face of War: Contribution of the Female Graduates of the Omsk Medical Institute to Victory in World War II, and Tatyana A. BELOVA presented a very pertinent topic Participation of Komsomol Leaders of the Omsk Medical Institute in World War II.
The event was held at a high scientific, technical and emotional level, aroused considerable interest and resulted in a lively discussion. We were separated by thousands of kilometers and time zones, but united by a common Victory.
