On November 25-26, 2023 the International Scientific Conference «Innovative Technologies in Dentistry» took place in Tyumen. The event was organized by Tyumen Dental Association headed by its President I.V. IVANOV, DMD, PhD, Tyumen State Medical University, and Omsk State Medical University. Students, residents, and doctors from Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan participated in the Conference.
Staff of the Preventive Dentistry Department of OSMU, including Prof. Larissa M. LOMIASHVILI, DMD, PhD, Head of the Department, Assoc. Prof. Alexander I. MUSIENKO, DMD, PhD, Sergey G. MIKHAILOVSKY, DMD, PhD, Prof. Asst. Dmitry V. POGADAEV, DMD, PhD, and Eugeniy V. KHOROLSKY, DMD, presented their reports on the topical issues of dental diseases, and conducted workshops called «The Art of Teeth Modeling» and «Single stage implant placement. Sinus augmentation - problems during and after surgery».
Assoc. Prof. Marina O. NAGAEVA, DMD, PhD, Director of the Institute of Dentistry of Tyumen State Medical University, welcomed the participants and lecturers of the Conference and presented the Letter of Gratitude for many years of effective cooperation on behalf of Prof. Ivan M. PETROV, Rector of the university.
On the basis of the Tyumen modern dental clinic «Dentistry 3», our specialists introduced the participants of the workshop to a training manual, the atlas «The Art of Teeth Modeling», demonstrated the stages of modeling teeth from available materials and provided a lesson on modeling the coronal part of the upper and lower molars from composite materials using contour maps. They also proposed methods for using a composite occlusive key in restorative dentistry using materials from the Tokoyama Dental company.
