On November 13, 2025, the International Scientific Student Conference "Structure and Functioning of the Nervous System" was held. The event was organized by the OSMU Department of Histology, Cytology and Embryology. Foreign partners were represented by Karaganda Medical University (Republic of Kazakhstan), Tashkent State Medical University and Tashkent International University of KIM (Uzbekistan). 166 students participated in the conference.
The conference was held in two stages: reports and poster presentations. The topics of the reports differed in goals, content, and presentation and included the basics of structural changes in the nervous system: neurogenesis and the ability of nerve cells to regenerate, the functional significance and changes in glial cells, structural differences between the sympathetic and parasympathetic autonomic nervous systems, demyelination of nerve fibers, structural features of the blood-brain barrier in various structures of the brain and spinal cord, abnormalities in the development of the nervous system. systems, as well as structural features of the innervation of the pancreas and liver.
The conference was held at a high level, which confirms its relevance. The opportunity to ask questions to speakers and receive detailed answers facilitated active participation and knowledge sharing, strengthening students' academic and professional interest.
