The traditional Priirtyshsky Medical Forum organized by the Ministry of Health of the Omsk Region, Omsk State Medical University, Omsk Regional Association of Doctors, and the Central State Medical Academy of the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation took place in Omsk for the fourth time. The Forum lasted two days and brought together leading specialists in the field of pediatrics, internal diseases, neurology, and public health.
The first section "Children are not little adults: early childhood pathology in light of new clinical guidelines" started with the welcoming speech by Elena A. MIROSHNICHENKO, Chief Pediatrician of the Ministry of Health of the Omsk Region. On the part of OSMU Faculty of Pediatrics, their reports presented Prof. Elena B. PAVLINOVA, MD, PhD, Head of the Department of Pediatrics (Advanced Level), including Postgraduate Training Courses, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs; Natalia A. POLYANSKAYA, MD, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Pediatrics; Alexandra G. MINGAIROVA, MD, PhD, Anastasia N. DAKUKO, MD, PhD, and Anastasia A. GUBICH – Assoc. Profs. and Prof. Asst. of the Department of Pediatrics (Advanced Level), including Postgraduate Training Courses. All the reports covered the topic of modern approach to diagnosis and treatment of acquired and congenital somatic pathology in children.
The heads of other departments of our university also made a significant contribution to the work of the Section: Prof. Anna V. MORDYK, MD, PhD, Head of the Department of Phthisiology, Pulmonology and Infectious Diseases, and Assoc. Prof. Larisa V. PUZYREVA, MD, PhD, Head of the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, told about the viral infections in children; Nikolai V. SOBOTYUK, MD, PhD, Prof. of the Department of Pediatrics, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, and Klimentina I. NESTEROVA, MD, PhD, Assoc. Prof. of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, introduced the audience to some of the allergic diseases. Also during the work of this section, reports were delivered by the leading specialists from medical universities of Moscow, Novosibirsk, and Krasnoyarsk.
In the section "Public Health and Healthcare Management", the staff of the OSMU Faculty of Preventive Medicine Departments told about the state of the toxicological situation in the Omsk Region, the use of digital technologies in occupational medicine, approaches to ensuring the quality of medical care and the safety of medical activities, organization of medical care for children with infectious diseases, results of monitoring of the quality and safety of food products in the Omsk Region, prevalence of geno- and phenotypic determinants of cancer among the population of the Western Siberia Region. SABAEV, MD, PhD, Prof. of the Department of Public Health and Healthcare Management, Chief External Toxicologist of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Omsk Region, Chief Toxicologist of the Siberian Federal District; Assoc. Prof. Olga V. PLOTNIKOVA, MD, PhD, Head of the Department of Occupational Health; Assoc. Prof. Sergey N. MOSKOVSKIY, MD, PhD, Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine and Law; Larisa V. PUZYREVA; Prof. Denis V. TURCHANINOV, MD, PhD, Head of the Department of Hygiene and Nutrition; Prof. Vladimir L. STASENKO, MD, PhD, Head of the Department of Epidemiology; Natalia G. SHIRLINA, MD, PhD, Assoc. Prof. of the Department of Epidemiology.
The second day of the Forum included two sections: modern trends in internal diseases and current issues in neurology and medical rehabilitation.
The first section covered the issues of fatty liver disease and IBS (Prof. Maria A. LIVZAN, MD, PhD, OSMU Rector, Corresponding Member of RAS, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine (Intermediate Level) and Gastroenterology), brain health protection as the most important goal of hypertension treatment (Prof. Vadim A. AKHMEDOV, MD, PhD, Head of the OSMU Department of Medical Rehabilitation, including Postgraduate Training Courses), herpes simplex virus in the practice of clinician (Elena V. NADEY, MD, PhD, Assoc. Prof. of Internal and Family Medicine, including Postgraduate Training Courses), and thromboembolic complications prevention (Ekaterina N. LOGINOVA, MD, PhD, Assoc. Prof. of Internal and Family Medicine, including Postgraduate Training Courses).
The neurology and medical rehabilitation section was marked by the reports by researchers from Moscow, Tomsk and Omsk. Staff of OSMU Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery, including Postgraduate Training Courses (Assoc. Prof. Roman A. DELOV, MD, PhD; Assoc. Prof. Olga I. SHESTAKOVA, MD, PhD), and Department of Medical Rehabilitation, including Postgraduate Training Courses (Prof. Vadim A. AKHMEDOV, MD, PhD; Assoc. Prof. Anna S. ISAEVA, MD, PhD) elaborated on the multidisciplinary approach to all stages of treatment and rehabilitation of these patients.
Based on the number of reports presented, participants and listeners, the IV Priirtyshsky Medical Forum once again became a large-scale and significant event for the entire medical community.
