As part of the XVII Russian Conference with International participation "Medical Education-2026", a linguistic satellite symposium "Language training in the context of the transformation of medical education: AI, individualization, digitalization" was held at the Institute of Foreign Languages for Professional Purposes of Sechenov University under the leadership of Prof. I.Y. MARKOVINA.
The program of the symposium was very rich and extremely interesting, each presentation provoked a lively discussion - all the experts present did not remain indifferent and were fully involved in the process.
Svetlana A. PISKLAKOVA, Head of the OSMU Department of International Affairs, is a regular participant in this symposium. This year Svetlana A. PISKLAKOVA shared her experience in preparing for and participating in the XI Chinese Medical Innovation Competition 2025, as the project was inextricably linked to medicine and medical English terminology, which is highly relevant in the development of a future specialist in the medical profession.
Also, within the framework of the symposium, a meeting of the Educational and Methodological Commission on Linguistic Disciplines of the Federal Educational and Methodological Association in the Higher Education system for an enlarged group of specialties and training areas 31.00.00 Clinical Medicine was held. During this meeting members of the commission got the opportunity to see a new manual on the Latin language and the basics of terminology.
