Medical Volunteers Help Regional Healthcare

During summer almost 100 OSMU Medical Volunteers work in 18 Omsk Outpatient Clinics: they remind patients to wear masks, assist at the reception desks, help doctors during the patients’ appointments, and take part in the vaccination process.
Moreover, a number of Medical Volunteers assist in different healthcare institutions: AID and Infectious Disease Center, the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, Ministry of Health of the Omsk Region, and the Unified Counseling Center.

«With the beginning of the third wave, which coincided with the holidays in our medical educational institutions, we resumed volunteer activities in Omsk Hospitals. Last time, medical students helped their senior colleagues in autumn and winter. Now the volunteers provide assistance in the most stressful places – outpatient clinics, including helping with vaccination» – said a regional coordinator of the Medical Volunteers.
