Medical Volunteers: Highlights of the Week

 
Medical Volunteers keep working in a multitude of directions. The start of mass vaccination indicated a need for assistance in the COVID-19 vaccination certificates issuance, and nearly 50 Medical Volunteers went out on daily shifts, providing indispensable help to the Regional healthcare. In addition, the prophylaxis of the most common diseases is still an integral part of volunteer activities.
 
Together with the Omsk Center for Prevention, Medical Volunteers held the "Protecting the Heart" Campaign to visit Omsk Universities and educate students on first aid for strokes and heart attacks. In the framework of the Campaign, students are to visit five Omsk Universities.
 
Volunteers also held actions to popularize blood donation, where they educated their colleagues on the topic and set up the info points for the citizens. With the guidance of the Regional Division of Medical Volunteers, OSMU Medical Volunteers continue to participate in the National "Bring Kindness to the Villages" Campaign. They are planning to visit eight more areas of the Region in the fall.
 
Medical Volunteers' Regional Head Office held a meeting to discuss plans for the rest of the year, recruitment, and training for new members.
From September 22 to 24, an Online Medical Volunteer School was held. More than 50 new volunteers heard from the leaders of each branch, and the most active participants of the School received certificates.
 
OSMU Press Center
