Medical Volunteers in Crimea

12 Medical Volunteers from OSMU are now working as nurses in two children’s summer camps on the Crimean coast. They conduct appointments with a doctor, sanitize medical facilities, monitor the health of children in the isolation ward and children resting on the beach, daily inspect the food in the canteen, perform physiotherapy procedures, and fill out documentation.

«It was amazing to gain this experience, especially working with children. Our work was aimed at preserving and improving the health of children, and we believe that we have coped with it!» - said Olesya PASECHNIK, a 4th-year student of the General Medicine Faculty.
Elena OSIPENKO, a 4th-year student of the General Medicine Faculty, also shared her impressions and expressed gratitude to the Omsk Regional Branch of Medical Volunteers and the Administration of OSMU for this opportunity.

These Volunteers were selected in the competition based on the highest GPA and previous volunteering activities. All of them have a nursing license and underwent a medical examination.

The administration of both summer camps appreciated the work of Volunteers and awarded them with Letters of Gratitude.
