Medical Volunteers Joined Anti-COVID-19 Plasma Donation Campaign

On March 12th and 15th, Medical Volunteers participated in the National Anti-COVID-19 Plasma Donation Campaign. As part of the action, Volunteers set up info points in City Outpatient Clinic №1 and OSMU College, explaining what is anti-COVID-19 plasma, who could donate it, and why it is important.

Plasma from donors who have recovered from COVID-19 contains antibodies that bind to viral protein receptors and prevent the virus from penetrating the host-cells for replication.

Moreover, Volunteers have discussed fundamental issues of blood and marrow donation with students, distributed information booklets, conducted a quest and giveaways.
