On August 4, 2023, Mikhail A. MURASHKO, Minister of Health of Russia, visited the Omsk Region. Together with Vitaly P. KHOTSENKO, the Acting Governor of the Omsk Region, and Prof. Maria A. LIVZAN, Rector of OSMU, Corresponding Member of RAS, he visited healthcare facilities of the Region, including Omsk Emergency Hospital №1, Clinical Medical Surgical Center, and Omsk Out-Patient Clinic №3.
At the end of the visit, Mikhail MURASHKO held a meeting on topical issues of the development of the healthcare system in the region: improving the demographic situation, reducing mortality at the stage of primary health care, issues and options in the provision of medical care for cardiovascular diseases, the prospects for the development of oncological service, topical issues of children's health care. Ilya BALANDIN, Chairman of the Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance, told about the implementation of the territorial program of compulsory medical insurance in the Omsk Region.
