On April 1, the International Student Olympiad on aesthetic restoration, organized by the Belarusian State Medical University, was held online. Student teams from Belarusian State Medical University (Minsk), Medical Academy named after S.I. Georgievsky of Vernadsky CFU (Simferopol), the Russian University of Medicine (Moscow), the Institute of Clinical Medicine (Nizhny Novgorod) and Omsk State Medical University (Omsk) participated in the Event.
OSMU was represented by Lyubov TAUSHKINA, Daniela LOPATINA, Vasilisa KUZMENKO, Ekaterina MILTO, Amina MAGAMADOVA, Matvey KOROTCHENKO, Nikolay CHUMICHKIN, and Daria KOURNIKOVA; scientific adviser Prof. Larisa M. LOMIASHVILI, MD, PhD, Dean of the Dentistry Faculty.
The Olympiad consisted of four stages: hometask (creative business card), a dental quiz, a manual skills competition for the aesthetic restoration of the frontal group of teeth, and a research paper. These directions reveal students not only as theorists, but also as practitioners.
Our university performed well in all stages of the Olympiad taking second place in the team competition. Besides, our student did great individual performance: Ekaterina MILTO took first place in the "Research work" nomination, and Vasilisa KUZMENKO took the honorable third place in the "Aesthetic Restoration" nomination.
OSMU Faculty of Dentistry every year shows great results in this Olympiad, winning prizes and maintaining the university's status at a high level.
