Modern Standards in Anesthesiology and Resuscitation: The Role of the Team

 
On September 25, the Interregional Scientific and Educational Conference "Modern Standards in Anesthesiology and Resuscitation: The Role of the Team" was held. Since the Conference was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the OSMU Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, including Postgraduate Training Courses, a number of specialists in anesthesiology and internal diseases from Omsk, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, and Perm visited this Event. 
 
The opening ceremony was held by the moderator of the Conference - Prof. Natalia V. GOVOROVA, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Head of the OSMU Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, including Postgraduate Training Courses, Chief External Specialist in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of the Ministry of Health of the Omsk Region. She reviewed the key stages in the development of the scientific and pedagogical school of the Department, the contributions of the founders and heads to the development of the specialty, and summarized the team's key achievements over a quarter century.
 
Later Assoc. Prof. Andrey S. KOLCHIN, MD, PhD (in Medicine), Vice-Rector for Postgraduate Education and Digital Transformation, congratulated the staff of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, including Postgraduate Training Courses on its anniversary. He noted that over the past quarter century, the Department has made a significant contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists who save lives and ensure patient comfort every day. 
 
"You are always at the forefront of medical technologies and methods, implementing the latest advances into practice," he emphasized in his speech. "The Department staff is an example of a well-coordinated and friendly team, where each specialist makes a unique contribution to the common success. Your care and attention to each patient deserve the highest praise and recognition. I wish you continued success, prosperity, and new achievements in your noble mission!"
 
Then, during the plenary session, a modern algorithm for selecting infusion solutions for patients in critical condition, the results of evaluating early multimodal hemosorption in patients with acute pancreatitis, a review of modern extracorporeal methods for treating sepsis in children, factors reflected in modern literary sources that allow the use of a number of drugs in the treatment of sepsis against the background of endothelial dysfunction, modern capabilities of combined technologies of extracorporeal hemosorption were presented.
