From March 11 to 13, 2026, Moscow hosted the V Anniversary Scientific Conference with international participation «National and International Experience in Protecting the Reproductive Health of Children and Youth». The event took place at Kulakov National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology.
The Сonference was organized by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Kulakov National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology, I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, and the Association of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecologists.
The scientific leadership of the Conference was provided by Gennadiy T. SUKHIKH, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Prof. Elena V. UVAROVA, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chief External Specialist in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology of the Ministry of Health of Russia; and Prof. Dmitriy A. MOROZOV, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Chief External Pediatric Surgeon of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
The scientific program featured plenary sessions and symposia addressing key issues in pediatric and adolescent reproductive medicine, including prevention, diagnosis and treatment strategies, organization of specialized care, rehabilitation of reproductive disorders, and advanced therapeutic and surgical approaches to congenital, inflammatory, and oncological conditions.
The Сonference brought together approximately 1000 specialists from 9 countries and 89 cities.
The OSMU Department of Pediatric Surgery and Reproductive Health for Children and Adolescents presented three online reports:
● «Paraovarian Cyst: A Pediatric Surgeon’s Perspective on the Problem» by Assoc. Prof. Natalya I. PAVLENKO, MD, PhD (in Medicine)
● «New Approaches to the Diagnosis and Treatment of Scrotal Diseases in Children» by Andrey V. GRIGORENKO, PhD student
● «Fibroepithelial Lesions of the Mammary Glands in Adolescent Girls» by Ekaterina S. PUSTOVETSKAYA, 2nd-year resident
On March 13, a Young Scientists Competition was held as part of the Conference, where 11 participants presented the results of their research. Based on the results of the competition, Maria V. DUKA, MD, Prof. Asst. of the OSMU Department of Pediatric Surgery and Reproductive Health for Children and Adolescents, was awarded the First Degree Diploma for her research titled «Experimental Study of the Effect of an Ozone-Nitric Oxide Mixture on the Preservation of Ovarian Structure after Detorsion in Adnexal Torsion».
Participation in such Conferences provides an opportunity to present scientific achievements and exchange experience with colleagues from other regions. The knowledge gained and professional connections established will undoubtedly contribute to the further development of medical science and healthcare practice in the region.
