Obstetricians and Gynecologists Discussed Burning Issues of the Reproductive Health

 
On September 15, the Online Inter-Regional Conference «Reproduction of the XXI century: traditions and innovations» was held. The event was timed to the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Maternity House №1.
The reports were presented by the speakers from Saint Petersburg, Novosibirsk, and Omsk. Talking about the listeners, the Conference attracted obstetricians and gynecologists, surgeons, and intensivists. All the participants joined this event to discuss modern ways of maintaining a woman's reproductive health.
The conference began with the report on the history of the Maternity House №1 called «From Maternity House №1 to City Clinical Perinatal Center: Lifelong Path» presented by Prof. Assoc. Irina V. SAVELIEVA, MD, PhD, Head of the Department Obstetrics and Gynecology №1 (OSMU), Chief External Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Omsk Region. This medical institution was founded in Omsk in 1931 headed by Prof. Yuliy A. LEYBCHIK. And after years, this maternity house became an advisory center for other obstetrics and gynecology departments of regional hospitals, a place for advanced professional training of doctors and nurses, and a clinical base for students.
Further reports were dedicated to various topics, including the women’s reproductive health, prevention of pregnancy complications and hypovitaminosis, prescribing the optimal contraceptive pills regimen in both young women with children and women of late reproductive age.
 
A total of around ten reports were presented at the Conference, including the reports by Galina V. KRIVCHIK «Menstrual disorders: modern treatment paradigms», Elena N. KRAVCHENKO «Modern approaches to the treatment of GSM: scientific data update 2015-2020», Larisa V. KUKLINA «Nutritional during pregnancy and prevention of congenital malformations in high-risk pregnant women. Ultrasound diagnostics of congenital fetal anomalies», and Irina V. SAVELIEVA «An individual approach for the prevention of hypovitaminosis and pregnancy complications in modern women. Features of ultrasound prenatal screening».
 
At the end of the Conference, the specialists took part in the question and answer session, and then listeners underwent the test on acquired knowledge.
