The Interregional Scientific Conference «Obstetrics and Gynecology: results of work for 2023» took place. It was aimed at summing up the work of the obstetrics and gynecology service for 2023, discussing current issues in obstetrics and gynecology, ways to reduce infant mortality, modern principles of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the reproductive system.
The mixed format of the meeting made it possible to gather a large number of listeners, including students, practicing doctors from Siberian Federal District, and researchers.
Irina V. SAVELIEVA, MD, PhD, Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department №1 of OSMU, Chief External Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology of Omsk, started off the Conference with the report «Omsk Region: Obstetrics. How to support the planned pregnancy».
The topic of the nation’s reproductive health became the keynote of the reports of Irina SAVELIEVA and other OSMU researchers. The focus of attention was on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of various diseases related to the health and longevity of women.
Elena N. KRAVCHENKO, MD, PhD, Prof. of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department №1 of OSMU, President of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Omsk, prepared three reports. In one of them, she told about the eligibility criteria and optimization of menopausal hormone therapy. In another one she presented alternative treatment for patients in the perimenopause. The third report demonstrated an overview of effective strategies for reducing obstetric complications.
Tatiana V. KLINYSHKOVA, MD, PhD, Prof. of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department №1 of OSMU, covered the issues of endometriosis and the aspects of the use and prescription of the drug «Esteretta».
Vitaly M. KULESHOV, MD, PhD, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Prof. of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Novosibirsk State Medical University, and Anna V. VORONTSOVA, MD, PhD, Assoc. Prof. of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Ural State Medical University, became the honoured guests of the Conference. Vitaly KULESHOV told about the modern management of patients with ovarian endometriosis, and Anna VORONTSOVA prepared a report called «Variability in the treatment of menstrual disorders within the framework of clinical guidelines. Analysis of clinical cases».
The conference became a platform for the exchange of opinions and results of scientific research.
The discussion and questions asked during the presentations showed that the problems raised at the conference are relevant, which indicates that gynecology is developing and gradually introducing the latest scientific developments, research, and technologies into practice.
