I sincerely congratulate you on a great holiday - International Students Day!
As a Solar of History I would like to remind you that this day was established in 1941 at the International Students’ Meeting in London devoted to the tragic events of 1939, when thousands of Czech students were sent by the Nazis to Sachsenhausen, a concentration camp, and all Universities as per Hitler’s Order were closed till the end of War.
I am convinced that nowadays the life of a student should be filled with the joy of learning, love and self-exploration. Being a Professor, I have never forgotten that those years were a wonderful time of high hopes. And as a MP, I am striving to maintain an accessible education and social guarantees for you, academic freedoms, and government support you all deserve.
So let the years spent in Alma mater remain forever in your hearts! Let your creative intentions and bold ideas become the basis of professionalism and future success! Please, always remember the ancient saying: knowledge is the guarantee of freedom!
