Omsk and Moscow Surgeons Conducted a Master class for their Siberian Colleagues 

On June 9 and 10, 2021, the Master class in Laparoscopic Surgery, organized by the Pediatric Surgery and Reproductive Health for Children and Adolescents Department and supported by Karl Storz and Jonhson & Jonhson Companies, was held in the Omsk Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital. Prof. Igor V. PODDUBNY, the Master of Pediatric Laparoscopy in Russia, Head of the Pediatric Surgery Department of the Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry named after A. I. Evdokimov, took part in this event.
 
The first day was dedicated to reconstructive plastic surgery for congenital anomalies of the female reproductive tract.  Prof. Igor V. PODDUBNY together with Prof. Andrey V. PISKLAKOV, Head of the Pediatric Surgery and Reproductive Health for Children and Adolescents Department, performed a laparoscopic monotubular sigmoid colpopoiesis.
 
On June 10, surgeons performed a Soave-Georgeson laparoscopic procedure (abdominoperineal resection of the rectum and sigmoid colon) in a 1,5-year-old patient with Hirschsprung disease.
 
The Master class attracted pediatric and general surgeons and obstetricians-gynecologists from Omsk, Tyumen, Tomsk, and Novosibirsk Regions. For two days, they have participated in surgeries and have attended the lectures of Prof. Igor V. PODDUBNY and Prof. Andrey V. PISKLAKOV, who discussed the current state of pediatric reconstructive proctology and gynecology. The participants unanimously proposed to hold such master classes annually.
